BENEVA GIG NEXT WEEK!

Malc Evans and I will be getting together once more for a special Beneva gig! It will take place at lovely Maudsley venue in Coventry on Friday 30th April 2010 - as part of the monthly Ditch The TV events. We have been working on somenew material which we will hopefully debut at this gig. Working titlesfor these tracks so far are: 'We Can Make You Feel Good', 'My Love' and 'Just One Of Those Days'. The following night, I will be performing at Nutters Restaurant in Rochdale as part of a Fashion Show. I plan to perform my own original material as well as an array of covers!

SESSION WORK FOR US GROUP ANTIPRODUCT

I will be playing keys/synths for Glam Punk group Antiproduct for 2 dates in January 2010. Fronted by US musician Alex Kane, Antiproduct create melodic rock wrapped up in a wonderful stage show. It's gonna be another loud one!! I will be playing at Fibbers in York on Mon 4th and Trillians in Newcastle on Tues 5th January.

GINGER (THE WILDHEARTS) & MUSICAL SCORE WORK

I have been asked to be musical director for a new play that will begin to take shape towards the end of 2009. The plan is to eventually get the play with my music up to showcase at Edinburgh Fringe in 2010. I have complete say on the music so it is nice to build something that i see fit.

This Saturday 8th Aug I have been asked to play keys/piano again for The Wildhearts frontman Ginger. Our 10pm slot headlines the Trash Stock all dayer at Nottingham's Seven venue. As we speak I am currently running through the 14 track set list :-)

I have had the pleasure of doing some live session work for The Wildhears front man Ginger. Last week we played Camden Rocks festival in London supporting Pete Doherty. The venue was packed out as you can imagine and was a great experience spending the day with the band. My fingers are crossed for more work with him.

PIANO & VOICE CD...

I have been working on a full production album over the past few months but it all came to a halt recently after not quite feeling the vibe on certain tracks. I came to the decision recently to not force things for the sake of it. After all, there is nothing worse than knocking out an album of songs that you aren't too proud of.

However, not all is lost...from next month, I will releasing a new 12 track acoustic album to keep those who are waiting happy! The whole concept titled 'Piano & Voice'...is, well, just piano and vocal. Nothing more. Nothing Less. Simplicity at its best. I have written 8 new songs and decided to re-record some of my old favourites including 'Let It Go', 'Join Together', 'I Won't Conform' and 'Positivity'.

The whole album was recorded in my home studio over a period of a few hours. This is how my career began all those years ago, so it is very refreshing to go back to that level of production.

Updates on the release date of 'Piano & Voice' will be posted here as soon as it's all done and dusted.

LEON GOFFE DEMO'S

I am currently working in the studio at the moment with an amazing talent that is Leon Goffe!

Following his past life as an MC, he has bought elements of this into his new solo project. I am currently producing his first ever 3 track demo that will be used to get him gigs and to showcase him around industry contacts. The overall sound is in a similar vein to that of Jamie T and Kate Nash. All great stuff!!
